Much of the drainage in the older parts of Merimbula was laid decades ago in clay pipes. Clay joints move over time, roots find the gaps, and once roots become established in a line, your blocked drain will come back no matter how many times you clear it. On all our jobs in Merimbula, we start with a CCTV inspection so we can identify the cause before we give you a quote.
When your pipes are structurally sound, clearing them will most likely be the end of the job. When your pipes are cracked or broken, or beyond repair, we usually recommend a reline. A pipe reline is when we install a resin liner inside the existing pipe and cure it to seal the cracks and close off the entry points for roots without needing to excavate your yard. On smaller properties near the lake, where access for heavy machinery is limited, pipe relining is often the only practical option. The same no-dig, trenchless method works just as well on a cracked sewer line as it does on a stormwater or household drain.
