Eden Blocked Drains

Your Local Blocked Drain Plumber in Eden

When a drain backs up, you want a blocked drain plumber who knows the local pipes and can get to you quickly. We clear blocked drains for local homes and holiday rentals across Eden, Pambula, Merimbula, Bega and the rest of the Sapphire Coast.

Most blockages here come down to the same few causes. Older clay pipes, tree roots, grease build-up in holiday rentals, or a cracked pipe letting the ground in. We start with a CCTV camera so we’re not guessing, clear the line, and if the pipe itself has failed, we can reline it from the inside instead of digging up the yard.

Signs You Have a Blocked Drain

Your home is an investment, and plumbing issues should be addressed before they cause costly damage. Call us straight away if you’re experiencing any of the following in your Eden home:

Sewer Smells

Nasty odours coming from your drains

Water Leaks

Water gurgling or backing up through the drain

Repairs & Installations

Toilets or showers draining unusually slowly

Pipe Relining

Water coming up from your sewer lines

We see the same issues come up again and again in this area, root intrusion in the older clay pipes running through Eden and Bega’s established streets, and grease build-up in the kitchen drains of busy holiday rentals that get heavy use over summer.

How We Clear Blocked Drains

Before our plumbers touch anything, we use a CCTV drain camera to have a look first. That tells us exactly what’s causing your blocked drain, and where it is, no guessing, no unnecessary work.

Once we know what we’re dealing with, we use high-pressure water jetting to flush the blockage out completely. It’s more effective and longer-lasting than chemical treatments or basic rodding.

If the inspection finds the pipe itself is cracked, deteriorated, or has tree root intrusion, we’ll walk you through what we found and your options. Pipe relining is often the next step for damaged pipes and avoids excavation entirely.

Every job is done by licensed NSW plumbers and meets Australian standards. If you’re not happy with the work, we come back and put it right.

Stormwater and Outdoor Drain Blocked? We Can Help

Blocked drains aren’t always inside the house. Outdoor and stormwater drainage problems are common on the Sapphire Coast, particularly after the heavy rain this region regularly sees.

Signs it might be an outdoor or stormwater issue:

Water pooling in the yard or soggy ground near your home’s foundation
Overflowing gully traps after rain
Slow-draining outdoor area drains or paved surfaces

Left untreated, poor outdoor drainage causes soil erosion, foundation damage, and flooding. It’s not just a cosmetic problem.

Common causes on the Sapphire Coast include:

Leaf litter, bark, and storm debris blocking gully pits and stormwater pipes, especially on coastal and bushland-adjacent properties
Tree roots from established native gums and coastal vegetation growing into older clay or concrete pipes
Silt and sediment build-up in outdoor drains on larger rural and acreage properties
Deteriorated or collapsed pipes on older properties that have never been formally inspected

Not sure if you’ve got a sewer blockage or a stormwater problem? Call us and we’ll help you work it out. We service residential, rural, and holiday properties across Eden and the surrounding Sapphire Coast. Where the water is sitting under the lawn rather than backing up through a pipe, a subsoil drainage system is the fix rather than a drain clear.

Reliable Blocked Drain Clearing Across the Sapphire Coast

With over 10 years of local experience, Eden Plumbing is the trusted choice for fast, reliable blocked drain repairs and cleaning across Eden and the Sapphire Coast. We offer prompt service, transparent pricing, and workmanship that lasts.

We know what’s common in this area: older clay pipes in Eden and Bega’s established streets, larger blocks with deep-rooted native trees around Pambula and Merimbula, and coastal holiday homes that can sit unattended between visits and develop slow-building blockages before anyone notices.

Before we start any work, we’ll tell you what we found, what it’ll take to fix it, and what it costs. Upfront quotes, no hidden fees, fully licensed and insured.

Frequently Asked Questions

What causes blocked drains in Eden?

We usually see one of three things: tree roots getting into the pipes, too much grease going down the kitchen sink, or hair and soap building up in the bathroom over time. In Eden, we also see a lot of outdoor drains blocked up with leaves and debris after a big storm.

What are the signs that I have a blocked drain?

The first thing most people will notice is that the sink or shower is draining slower than it used to. Then comes the smell. If you’re getting a strong smell coming up through your drain, that’s a bad sign. Gurgling noises from the pipes, a toilet that’s slow to flush, or water backing up somewhere unexpected are all signs it’s getting worse. Don’t ignore it and hope it clears up on its own. Call a plumber at the first sign of something off.

Can I fix a blocked drain myself?

Sometimes a plunger or some baking soda will fix a slow bathroom drain. But if the same drain keeps getting blocked, or more than one drain is playing up, there’s usually something bigger going on that a DIY fix won’t reach. At that point, it’s worth getting a professional plumber to have a proper look at your pipes.

How does a plumber unblock a drain?

At Eden Plumbing, we use a small camera to look down your pipes first so we can see what’s actually causing the problem. Then we use a high-pressure jet of water to flush it out properly. If the camera finds a cracked or damaged pipe, we’ll show you what we found and talk through your options. A lot of the time, pipe relining is the best fix because it sorts the pipe from the inside without any digging.

How much does a plumber charge to unblock a drain?

Every job is different, so it’s hard to give a number without knowing what you’re dealing with. A simple bathroom blockage is usually a quick fix, while something deeper in the sewer line, or where tree roots are involved, will take more time. We’ll always give you an upfront quote before we start any work. Give us a call and we’ll get a camera in there to find out what’s going on.

Can you clear stormwater and outdoor drains too?

Yes. Outdoor drains, gully traps, and stormwater pipes block up all the time around here, especially after a decent downpour or if there are big trees nearby. If you’ve got water pooling in your yard or near the house, give us a call and we’ll figure out what’s going on.

What areas do you service?

Eden, Pambula, Merimbula, Bega, Tathra, Tura Beach, and everywhere in between on the Sapphire Coast. Not sure if we cover your area? Give the team a call and we’ll let you know.
